It's the same thing as the Kingsley issue. If they're going to 3-peat the coaches are going to give some of these guys some rope to see if they can develop and get better. I imagine they'll do that for Steele. They'll surely sign a veteran but I wouldn't be surprised if all the RBs split the workload.

They aren't worse than last year, just injuries are the easiest way to have your season derailed.
It's early in the season I wouldn't take anything you are seeing as "this is the team the Chiefs are" it takes awhile for everything to round into form with how things are done now. |

Yea, I mean it would be kinda funny but it's like Teicher doesn't even understand coach speak some 50 years later.

Steele and Perine both can pass block and in my opinion be enough as runners to take advantage of the light boxes as we saw yesterday. They lack the explosion of a Pacheco, but I can easily see Steele being a guy who goes for 5, 3, 11, 6, 2, 8, and so on. A lot like Pacheco.
Surely we might have Pacheco back at full strength by postseason though. |

He would absolutely stomp a bitch for the chance to be a Chief again. What? Too much?

Always hated how Hunt's tenure ended in KC. Would love to see him get a second chance.

Schefter says Pacheco will be back. Realistically guessing we are looking at 6-12 weeks, and I'd wager 8 might be the best bet. Ramp up to playoffs when we really need him.\\ EDIT: Also just saw that twitter doc say it could be 4-12 weeks depending on severity. Last edited by pugsnotdrugs19; 09-16-2024 at 12:30 PM.. |
