Oxytocin is used to stimulate contractions. On this board, it's found mostly in DC.

You might be thinking about Oxycontin.

When I was a much younger person, working in a hospital, in OR, in non nursing professional capacity, anesthesia drugs were not locked up. They were kept on shelves in the sub sterile area. It was common to see fluothane and, at the time halothane taken by just about anybody who could lift a bottle. Including the anesthesia professionals. There were parties where the shit was free and easy.

And in those days, liquid cocaine was used an an analgesic during tonsilectomies. It was common to walk in and take the few ml's left over from surgeries and have a small party.

It was like Studio 54 with those crazy ****ers.

But it’s also good for pain, specifically chronic pain, so perhaps that’s why he first started it but just got addicted to it. Apparently off label people are using it for mental health issues like depression as well.

So, Matt was sitting in his hot tub and took the drugs on his own free will and they arrest the doctor?

Sounds about right for 2024 in Kalifornia.

If you are taking the drugs yourself and unless someone told you(like a doctor)... yeah you can take 8 times the normal dose and be fine then you are at fault for your own death.

Well it’s illegal to sell it in a non clinical/prescribed setting so why would he not be arrested?

Getting people addicted to drugs can be a great revenue source for doctors. It's capitalism at its finest. Just ask the opioid industry.

I’m basically in agreement with this. The Perry situation is a little different where it was “a doctor” that administered the drugs to him but still. If I overdose on coke tonight, I don’t feel like the dealer that sold me the drugs is at fault

. Because the vast majority of doctors are benefitting from a socialist medical system especially in the case you condemn capitalism for. Next up, the education of babies on transgenderism. Crunchy Colorado at it's best. Bareback should be around any time now to remove me from the thread and keep you because that's the way he rolls.

I think there are some pretty strict laws in California about what you can put in a dumpster.
