Chiefs throwback matchups from the 90's

Here's a good afternoon time waster.

This popped up on my YouTube feed. Here's 3 games (the highlights) of the Chiefs from 92-94 I think. The Montana years. The DT, Neil Smith, Saleamua years. The Louie Aguiar and Lowery era. Back when the graphics were shit, the score was NOT on the screen at all times, the hits were probably penalties now...

Montana has a throwing motion that looks really strange to me, but I think the modern NFL QB is just different. Anyway, these are all Chiefs wins, so they are quite enjoyable!

9ers vs Chiefs at Arrowhead. I believe this is the newest of the 3. There are guys on the defense who I don't remember at all.

1994 MNF - **** Donks Forever!!

1993 Wildcard Win vs. Steelers

Enjoy. Sorry if repost. Your and idiot.

Antifreeze.

Actually, that ended up being Buffalo vs Dallas round two in the Super Bowl, which was an awful game. Bills/Giants was in the 1990 season.

I prefer this classic. My skinny 14 year old ass could have run through a brick wall that night I was so fired up.

It's a bit of a shock to the system to see how slow and unimaginative the offenses were.

Was that the one pass Dave Kreig attempted in that game?

Early 90s offensive and defensive line play would have ****ing ruled the league right now.

Today's lines suck ass in comparison, although pass rush schemes have gotten more sophisticated. But individual players are not as technically sound.

That game marked the high point of Chiefs football from 1972-2017. I was living in Houston and was on top of the world after that game. What a glorious second half comeback.

One of my favorite games from the 90s was the '97 San Francisco game at Arrowhead. They were favored. We won 44-9. That was glorious.

Man, I remember all of these games. God, how far we have come with this team!

It was well worth the PAIN for the VICTORIES we have achieved these recent times!

Indeed. Watched the game with my cousin. Probably my favorite regular season Chiefs win.

Mine was the 2003 win against Denver that coincided with our 37 Forever Banquet weekend. Great game, and I had fantastic seats in the lower level, about 10 rows up on the 40. That was the game where Hall had the epic return. I never heard the stadium as loud as when he was running it in. That whole weekend was an absolute blast from start to finish.

Stephon Paige on IR.. Young Harvey Williams… The offensive line just mauling the Bills defense with Smith out.. DeBerg play fakes were awesome..
Just basic offense.. Funny how straight the offensive line lined up compared to today with the “c” shaped line today for pass blocking..
Before this game I really thought Buffalo was going to blow us out.. What a nice surprise that game was.. 2024 Chiefs would kick both these teams asses..

Yeah, that ‘94 MNF game was a classic.

The ‘93 game in Denver was my first game to watch in Denver. Great time, pretty cool to see Elway vs Montana for your first game.

All the disastrous shitty seasons all run together in my mind, but the gut-wrenching losses stand out. I finally got over the Christmas day playoff loss to the Dolphins. It took about 40 years, but I was finally able to come to terms with the fact that we lost.

I'm not ok with the '97 playoff loss yet. The Broncos cheated and the NFL let them get away with it. The wrong team won that game and I will never, ever be convinced otherwise. I expect to go to my grave without changing my mind.
