Signing JJ for that amount, and not signing Jones.

And in this unrealistic hypothetical, only giving up Sneed.

D gets worse, but they don't have absolute dog shit at WR and I'm not convinced that the D isn't going to get some worse even if Jones gets his third contract with KC.

Yea, I would do that*.


*If the outline of JJ's contract was worked out before the trade in order to avoid a holdout.

We played the Vikings and Sneed allowed Jefferson 3 catches for 24 yards. I want both.

Not happening but I know what you were getting at.

I mean obviously I'd take Jefferson simply because WR is a more impactful position in today's NFL. However, Jefferson is going to be way too expensive for KC, I would think.

Yes, because even if you didn’t want to give Jefferson a bigger deal, you could then turn around and trade him for a 1. Whereas Sneed in isolation is definitely not getting you back that.

Jefferson’s value on the open market is worth a fair bit more than Sneed’s, so the answer is, obviously.

Initially I was going to say no because of the price tag for Jefferson, but you bring up a good point that I did not consider.

This is correct. I don't want to see the Chiefs pay $30 mil for a WR, the only way would be to then flip him after the trade which isn't plausable, so the answer is yes, but will never ever happen.

I would easily do this for the one reason that it would make Mahomes happy. Mahomes had to deal with some crap wr play last year. He would be drooling to start the season with Jefferson.
