What’s the difference between Ron Rivera and Dan Quinn?
Actual serious question. Rivera wasn’t cutting it. How is Dan Quinn going to change that? I fail to see how he will do jack shit. |

EB isn't a salesman. It's that simple. You have to sell these corporate NFL types, and he just doesn't do that well.

What else are they supposed to do? Everything just dried up on them. I really think they wanted Ben Johnson and it fell through. |

EB had a first year QB dropping back forty times a game behind a patchwork offensive line. He wouldn't alter his philosophy or change his style. The QB came into the year pushing the ball down the field and making tight-window throws. Sam Howell clowned Sean Peyton's defense. By the end of the year he was a shattered Matt Cassle immitation...And it sure looked like EB wanted to get his buddy Jackoby Brissette playing time over Howell but Ron wouldn't budge. Forced EB to start Howell all year. So EB ruined that kid. Several members of the Washington offensive line gave interviews to the media where they bad mouthed EB and his play calling. Which just goes to show how being an "old school" asshole doesn't pan out if you can't gain the respect of the locker room or the players.
