"So...it's Christmas and you've been talking about how hard it is to find time to get to the gym. Do you...uh...want me to get you one of those mirror things for a home gym?"

She was either going to love the idea or murder me where I stood.

It worked out. Bet man you'd better be real careful reading the room there.

Side note - that thing really is great. I even enjoyed it before I broke my shoulder and got out of the habit. But she hasn't missed a workout since we got it (January of 2021) and depending on how hard you push yourself, you can really kick your own ass.

It wasn't any more expensive than the peleton if I recall. Or at least not prohibitively so. Something like 750 vs 900 I think?

The nice thing is it doesn't take up space. I mean we could've gotten rid of the treadmill but I need that stupid thing to put the damn rottweiler on when he won't calm the hell down and it's raining or cold outside. Damn spaz dog will sprint around the house then go jump on the thing and stare at me until I set it to an incline and run him for 5 miles.

Looks like it's $1,350 for one at the moment. Shipped and 'installed' (i.e. a guy shows up with a screw gun and mounts a single bracket on the wall).

I'm pretty sure it was cheaper when we bought it a year ago but hell I dunno. I was gonna get that college ass back that she had when she was on the dance team. Cost was of secondary concern.
