You think it's better than DL1? Still haven't played it, in my Steam queue.

It's better than Dying Light 1 for sure, but overall it feels pretty similar. You murder zombies, outlaws, parkour around, explore, pick locks, craft things. Oh and you loot. You loot like no ones ****ing business. The game could be called Dying Loot. I do love it though.

Your review gels with a lot of the press I've seen. Great read.

As frustrating as they are though, it's more being angry that it stopped me from playing and I can't wait to get the reboot over with and load back in so I can keep playing, rather than something that would make me stop playing. It's a testament to just how fun the game really is. Yeah a lot of the enemies look the same, yes, some interiors and rooftop assets are identical. It just doesn't matter. It's ****ing fun. We have to keep in mind that Techland is essentially by letter of the law, an indie company. They worked on this thing for 7 years, and the Easter eggs, ( Doom Shotgun with 1993 shells, and Pixelated first DOOM level, Darth Vader Force Choke, Master Sword from LoZ, Flyable Quidditch Broom from Harry Potter, Super Mario triple jump shoes) and letters to fans and other developers involved with their Easter eggs, show that they really care about the work they are doing and are big fans of gaming like we are. It's a shame it's currently also getting review brigaded because of a lack of Italian translation of all things. If you can look past some bugs that are sure to be eventually ironed out, and if you're a gameplay first gamer, there's a lot of fun to be had here. Nitpickers will struggle with this game. My son is loving this game. I know nothing about it other than I have woke at 3 am to find him sneakily playing it on school nights.

This game is off the chain, DL1 was good but this one is amazing. I really like having lots of humans and different factions in the game. The Parkour is really fun(I'm a huge Mirrors Edge fan). The loot system is far improved and the story has lots of plot twists and backstabbing. Also lots of choices to make that can affect every part of the game. In this day and age of garbage in/garbage out games it's well worth the $60 price tag. I would Get it on PC though as the consoles are having far greater issues.

Diving into sidequests now, and literally every single one will not progress to the next objective without quitting/loading. It's like the prompt for the next objective hangs up and only executes on a reload.
Debating not doing anymore until a patch releases. I have plenty more inhibitors to find and undead trophies to farm to upgrade all my mods in the meantime. This clip here was day one, getting the feel of the game and caught a double decapitation.

Yeah the patches for consoles are supposed to be out mid week this week. I'm not about to let a couple bugs get in the way of glorious zombie slaughter.
I've started messing around with Bows, and parkour shot is just really freaking cool. Triple shot is borderline OP, and power shot pierces multiple enemies. The peacekeeper crossbow given for handing over 4 structures to the PK, is exceptionally sick. The weapon levels with your character, is automatic and utilizes a 5 bolt magazine. Absolutely shreds enemies. Downside is that only the piercing effect from the skill tree works with it. Parkour shot and triple shot only work with the traditional bow. |

I did quite a bit of dicking around before I really dove into the main mission quests. So I was pretty overpowered when I took over the first "lair". It gave me the option of being all stealthy but i just ran in there with my katana and molotovs and mowed down like 2 dozen dudes.

Honestly in many of the dark zones I felt like Rick Grimes during his psychotic episode roaming the prison corridors after Lori died, just one shotting the **** out of every zombie he saw. In other news, car traps are not safe to stand on.
