Downloaded and starting playing last night. Looks incredible. It was late, and I was tired, so I didn't get very far. Definitely still getting acclimated with the ship controls, which my fingers don't seem to like very much.

For NVidia RTX owners:
Starfield doesn't include DLSS. But one has already been created for free. Here's a DLSS 3.5 mod for Starfield: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/111/ Haven't tried it yet, as the game doesn't hit XBox Gamepass till next Tuesday. |

Not a surprise: gaming has turned into HUGE business. Timelines and marketing matter more than complete/fun for many developers these days. I put games like this on my wishlist & wait for the "major patch" release + hefty Steam sale discount. Example: I am now playing Cyberpunk 2077 and loving it. It was an absolute dumpster fire of a release... so much so it tarnished CD Projekt Red's sterling reputation (after Witcher 3 it was thought they could do no wrong). Bethesda already pulled this shit w/ several of their series, so trust is low. |

I just....every time i watch gameplay footage the world seems kinda dead to me. Im worried that it'll be vast, slow and mostly empty. It seems like it could be another gorgeous, empty game. |

Edit: Cyberpunk 2077 is actually a pretty great example of a game that folks were justifiably pissed about. Completely tanked the reputation of CDPR and I'm not sure they'll ever recover back to where they were. Bethesda, OTOH, is pretty much known for porting the same games they had success with a decade ago in perpetuity. |

Its fallout 76 in space with more loading screens.
The game is hollow. Space flight Compared to a NMS or elite dangerous its like a 2d version of that. Ground game is unfinished, 2013 graphics, and 2006 gameplay. Oh and did i mention the loading screens? lol Its as if someone told AI what a cool space game would be, and the AI painted a picture, but really didnt know what it was painting, just that it had read about it somewhere. |

Because I neglected the main storyline I didn't come across the Russian chick until really late in my first playthough. She can lure me anywhere she wants to. I'll be keeping her as my primary follower and relegating Barrett, Coe and his bratty kid to shipboard duties. |
