Got to love strange spring training rules. We had bases loaded with Santana up and Texas just said they were done for the inning, pitch count too high lol.

Whaaaat? I live here. I have no idea what this means. And no...we are not small market at all. The Rangers approach is super easy to understand. They are hyper-conservative, fiscally and the owner definitely treats the Rangers like a business in which he wants to maximize profits. People go to the games, regardless (Covid season not withstanding).

Suely Matias hit a ball today that was estimated at 500 feet. I want to see the video, but they said it destroyed a palm tree out beyond the bullpen, Matheny said its the farthest he has ever seen a ball hit, he thought it was over 500.

It's hard to see him becoming viable in the majors with contact rates of 48%, 61% and 58%. I've given up on him even as young and toolsy as he is.
