I'm noting that we always seem to have controversial figures near the top. We had Eric Berry at safety (and to a lesser extent Kendrick Lewis), we had Kareem Hunt at running back, and some might find Ford and Zombo painful to vote for given their various playoff key plays.
As for me, I'll go with Houston and Hali, obviously. My third one is really tough. I struggle to put Ford and Zombo on the team, even recognizing that Zombo was often misused. I guess I could go with Damien Wilson, but I think my choice will be the big-play guy, Andy Studebaker. I always thought there was more to Studebaker than we got to see. One challenge with an all-decade team is that in a situation like this where you had two starters for most of the decade, the third guy may be a career backup. And my non-vote for Dee Ford is actually less about the neutral zone penalty and more about his utter lack of run defense. I watched a replay of Super Bowl LIV last night, and I specifically watched Dee Ford on the go-ahead drive. He was completely useless other than getting a pass pressure on one play where he was left unblocked. The guy just has no football instincts. |

Only three for this group.
It's hard to tell from the roster which backups are OLB and which are ILB. I could've gone either way, but once I saw the list I decided to show some mercy and only go with three. |

On a side note, Tamba was not good about getting his hands up, apparently. Or maybe he just always took an outside rush beyond the passing lanes.

Wilson over Ford was a bit of a tough call for me. Ford was an elite speed rusher, but a liability in almost every other way.
Wilson might not be elite at any one thing, but he’s solid all around. Zombo got blown up by Mariota with the game on the line in the playoffs, so **** that guy. Didn’t Studebaker have a terrible game against the Tebow Broncos when Tebow only threw like twice? I feel like I remember him getting abused horribly on the edge in that one. |

I voted for Studebaker, but only because he's a cousin of a good friend of mine, and he sent me a signed shirt and was a cool guy when I met him.

Houston Zombo Wilson. What a ****ing shitshow rodeo that Frank Mother****ing Zombo special teams ace is my pick. I’d also like to take this opportunity to say **** Dee Ford. |
