Ten Things About Today's Game Week 10: Tits 35 KC 32

Ten Things About Today’s Game Week 10: Tits 35 KC 32

10. OK, now I’m mad. Choking Losing Pussies! As much as last week was a total team effort, this week was also a total team effort. Total effort to blow a game they had no business losing. We’d probably be in last place if we were in the AFC South, because we can’t seem to figure out how to beat teams like Houston, Indy and the Tits. Total domination in the first quarter and a 10-zip lead. Grandpa Spags -doing his best Grandpa Bob impersonation, looks every bit the defense that pissed away a 21-3 lead in Alex Smiff’s last game. Remember that game? Playoffs two years ago? Couldn’t hold a God Damn lead in the second half and let Derrek Henry run wild? How bout the offense? Sure, Mahomes throws for big yards, but we put the ball on the ground and give up a fumble return for a TD to totally flip the momentum. Watkins and Hill drop critical passes for first down conversions. And we’ll talk about special teams getting off the short special bus this morning. We’ve now lost four straight to the Tits. Andy Reid’s only beaten them once. Once. In his entire career. I thought the Texans game was going to be the one game we just flat out blew this year. But nope. This one is going to sting. A lot. Damn it I’m still mad!

9. Spags was actually worse than Grandpa Bob in this game. Think we’ve figured out how to stop the run? Hell no. Henry goes for 188 and 2 TDs. Well, maybe we can play pass defense. Hell no. Ward gives up a 52 yard bomb in the 2nd quarter. Spags actually shut out the Tits in the first quarter; first time we’ve shut out a team in the first quarter all year. But he made up for it by sucking the rest of the game. Thornhill bounces off Henry like a pinball and gives up a 69 yard run on a basic off tackle play. Chiefs manage to get up by nine with 12 minutes left in the game. A two-score lead. Can they hold it for 12 minutes? Hell no. They let Henry run it down their frickin’ throat, just like the Arrowhead 2017 playoff game. Henry looks like a NCAA Division One running back playing a community college team. Can we stop Ryan Freakin’ Tannehill from scrambling? Hell no. We let him scramble for 37 yards in the second half. And even with all this fail on defense, we still should have won the damn game.

8. On offense, more fail. Bienemy is responsible for teaching our backs ball security. Williams fumble changed the momentum of the game. Chiefs were lucky to go in tied 13-13 at halftime. First quarter: Watkins drops a very catchable pass on third down, ending a drive. Six minutes left in the fourth after catching a 39 yard pass that should have sealed the game, Hill drops two passes in a row. One gets batted up in the air that should have been picked. Mahomes throws for over 400 yards and 3 TDs, but takes a totally unnecessary sack on third down with three minutes left, loses seven yards of field position, then Colquitt and Winchester screw the pooch on the field goal attempt. Choking Losing Pussy Football with a total absence of a killer instinct. Embarrassing Fail.

7. Kelce, Hill and Hardman combined score three TDs. When your QB throws for 446 yards, you should win. When you have nine more first down than your opponent, you should win. When you’re 50% successful on third down conversions, you should win. When you run 29 more plays than your opponent, you should win. When you have 159 more offensive yards than your opponent, you should win. When you have the ball 18 freaking minutes more than your opponent….. DAMN IT….

6. Both teams lost a fumble. Our fumble was much more deadly, putting the Tits back in the game. Both teams had a bunch of penalties. Chiefs has stupid ones like Chris Jones pushing guys in the face. Tits had a pretty clean first half, then Tyler Lewan #77 for the Tits started trying to hand the game to us all by himself. He must have had money bet on KC today. KC had nine penalties for 80 yards. That’s irresponsible back sliding on team discipline. That’s on Andy Reid. And he has done nothing to fix it since September.

5. Dave Toub should be let go after this season. We haven’t had a single punt return or kickoff return for a TD. So specials are not helping, at all. We can't seem to get through a game without penalties on punt returns. We did have Hardman field a punt on his own three yard line before the end of the first half, so we've got that going for us. We did have Buttkicker miss a critical PAT that changed the game strategy. We did have Colquitt chip in with a 26 yard punt, and have him muff a hold, and add on a intentional grounding when he panicked when the snap hit him in the freaking feet. His game is slipping, he's old and makes a shit ton of money. Time to send him on his way with a gold watch and some pudding at the end of the year. He’s a veteran player, and veteran players should not piss their pants like that when the game is on the line. On the final FG attempt, the guy who blocked the punt was offsides, but the Ref’s had a plane to catch, so…no call. Never should have come to that anyway. Game was lost when they puked up the lead with less than :30.

4. Schwartz lost his injury free streak. At least he had the gonads to suck it up and come back in and play out the rest of the game. Cam Erving got his ass beat on several occasions. We lost Rankin-Canadian Doc’s backup- when they carted him off the field. Ogbah left with a shoulder or chest injury, so now we’re missing both Ogbah and Okafor. Great.

3. Chris Jones was gimping around in the second half. Since we’re running out of guys and they can’t rotate, our D-linemen looked gassed in the fourth quarter, especially when the Tits went to the hurry up offense. When you have twice as many sacks as your opponent, you should win. In the Tits final scoring drive Fenton makes a nice play to break up a pass, then freaking FALLS DOWN to allow the game winning TD. Very Grandpa Bob-like defensive stand. Once again, Andy put the game in Spag’s hands to win it, and he totally shits the bed.

2. Total fail on coaching. Total let down after last week. Pissing away this game, to an AFC opponent, not only totally wipes away the progress from beating the Vikes last week, but even worse, this is a CONFERENCE LOSS, which will probably end up making us play in the first round of the playoffs, on the road somewhere. IF they can pull their heads out of their asses, get it together and actually MAKE the playoffs. After today, I seriously have my doubts.

1. I can’t even bring myself to listen to Andy’s after game presser. Here, let me guess: “We didn’t get the job done. We can’t turn the ball over. We’ve got to be better on special teams. We’ve got a lot of guys hurt. Pat played well coming back but he was rusty, and we dropped too many passes. We have too many penalties. We’ll fix all of this, because we look forward to the challenge of playing the Mexican Chargers on Monday Night Football next week....blah blah blah." I need a Zanex and a handful of Tums. I need to go and be mad somewhere for awhile now.

This is the most frustrating loss of the PMII era... save maybe the NE loss, but at least that was a good team... UGH

The Steelers pick up minkah Fitzpatrick and he has 5 interceptions already. I don't think we've had 5 interceptions in 2 years.

The turnover battle is killing us.

I was going to start a thread about this earlier-just incredible and he has had a HUGE impact for the Steelers. They are a 5-1 team in their last 6, hottest team in the AFC outside Baltimore.

Tackling disappeared again yesterday; tons of whiffs and missed tackles.

Asides from that, these rushing stats are DISGRACEFUL!!!

Maybe...but 31 other sets of fans will agree, because you obviously won't, that 17 years is long enough to endure Pats players being just as blatant and just as unneeded. Two sets of rules gets frustrating and actually annoying. I don't have to point out specific examples because that list would include basically every game since your team stole plays and watched practices in 2002. We get it...If you ain't cheatin, you ain't tryin...but the rest of us can't get away with it. Enjoy another division, conference and possibly league championship. We know...you "earned it".

Fescoe actually had a good point this morning about that last offensive sequence before the muffed field goal attempt. We've got the ball on the Tits 21 yard line with three minutes left. After the first running play, we threw an incomple pass, then Mahomes takes a seven yard sack. If we run the ball twice instead of throwing and taking a sack on another pass attempt, you force the Tits to take time outs We could have run the clock down to around the two minute warning, kicked a 20 yard field goal and went up by two scores. Instead, they run 11 seconds off the clock then muff the FG, and with the intentional grounding, give the Tits a much shorter distance to cover, and kept their time outs intact. Once again, Fail on time management on Andy. His achilles heel, and something he'll probably never fix.

Huh? I think you are mixing up two different drives. The Titans didn't have any timeouts left after Mahomes took the sack.

Maybe.
I'll have to go back and watch the last four minutes. Before I eat anything.

But for sure if they run twice before they kick, they burn a couple minutes off the clock, leaving the Tits little time to march down for a TD.

I think that's mixing things up.

On the possession before the muffed FG, the Chiefs drove to the 21. The next play was the INC short pass to Hill, followed by the INC pass to Hill down in the right corner of the end zone. Then they kicked the FG to go up 5 with 3:14 to play.

After stopping the Titans, they took over with 1:48 left and went run-run-sack to kill 21 seconds.

I really don't understand NFL players and teams and the overall makeup of teams today and maybe it's all due to parity or what I call a parody of the old NFL.

The Broncos beat the Titans, then KC absolutely whips the Broncos ass like they are a HS team, and then KC goes out and flops against the Titans?

I really don't get it other than 1. yes it's a match up issue in that the Broncos matched up better to the Titans than KC does and KC matched up better to the Broncos than the Titans do and consequently the Titans matched up better to KC than the Broncos do? But that's all BS IMHO.

I think these current NFL players and teams flat out play hard when they want to play hard and that's pretty much it.

The Titans turned it over on downs. We had the ball at their 32 with 1:48 left. We ran the ball two times to make them use their timeouts, then Mahomes took the sack on 3rd and 2 to make them use their last timeout. We managed the clock fine. We just ****ed up everything else.

Can't disagree with any of this. But I'd add coaches too.

And that's human nature, hell we had some of that in high school ball.

The other thing about the current NFL that I absolutely can't stand is the inept or flat out horrible refereeing. When the game is close and you have horrible, horrible calls that totally affect the outcome of the game, that SHOULDN'T HAPPEN.

My point is that IF there is so much parity in the NFL that yes, it could be said that on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team, well, if that's the case, you simply can't allow for inept refereeing and yet, we see it all the time.

Theres some people here that think it's all fixed and when I see the state of the refereeing in the NFL, I can't really say "hell no" to the games being fixed in that certain outcomes are advanced or "helped" along to gain more market share for the playoffs and ultimately the SB. I don't want to believe it, but I marvel at how inept the refs are WITH the review process where bad calls are not overturned or decisions are made in some dark NY City office by some official as to whether a catch is a catch or a fumble is a fumble or a TD is a TD etc....
