The Motorcycle Discussion Thread
I figure there are some motorcycle guys/gals on CP, so I thought we could have a place to talk all things Motorcycles.
Tire Mount and Balance Prices (as of 10/29/16) Prices based on if you remove the wheels yourself and bring the wheels and new tires with you: Cycle Gear - $35 per wheel if you buy tires from them. $58 per wheel if you buy tires elsewhere Rawhide - $65 per wheel (assuming it would be the same at other HD dealers. they book it at 1/2 hr per wheel) C R Cycle Tires (DeSoto) - $30 per wheel Cheapest I've found my Michelin Commander II's. Seem like they have good prices on other brands too. http://www.jakewilson.com - Free 3 day shipping on orders over $75 Last edited by Dayze; 10-29-2016 at 09:02 PM.. |

that's the beauty of Sportsters. they have a negative connotation associated with them for whatever reason; or that they're a 'chicks bike' etc. so, they can be had for dirt ****ing cheap and totally modded out for pennies. You could build a bad ass bar hopper (for lack of a better term) for next to nothing.

I'm starting to brainstorm on some routes for the upcoming Fayetteville rally next weekend. Stumbled across a great resource from Pig Trail HD. several 'canned' routes. with distances, stops, fuel, photo ops etc. A lot of these were routes I was looking at on Google by manually creating some routes. When printed, these fold in half very nicely so you have your highway interchanges/distances etc on one side, and a visual of the map on the other.
Thought I'd share, since I'm a swell guy. http://www.pigtrailhd.com/default.asp?page=ride-maps |

Lmao. As bikers, we've all done this pose and made sound effects while telling a story from a previous ride. Car guys have probably made similar sounds when telling stories.

I was only able to buzz around the block on it. initially after sitting on it, i thought "hmm..this isn't all 'that' much more comfortable". then I rode, and it's 10000 times better. primarily because of the rear support. I no longer have to 'hold on' during acceleration; I can just let the seat 'catch' me. I'm anxious to see what a longer ride is like. Unreal - no wonder my body is so cashed after riding 200+ miles lol. I've been holding my fat ass on the bike.
I'm bummed in some ways because I loved the profile of the bike with the stock seat. But, thankfully, I don't think the new seat messes with the profile too much. |

Thanks dude. She's definitely a conversation starter anytime I park, get gas, etc. many think I built it lol. But I can't let that go on too long and I let them know that it's essentially stock

Been a crazy week, but finally got around to posting a pic of the bag. Colossal pain in the ass to install for some reason.
