And lest we forget that practically all of you wanted Wilson at the time of the deal. It was widely celebrated by the fanbase. We're not talking about Pioli bringing in Matt Cassel. You can't pretend that it was an obvious mistake after the fact. And you all supported the Payton hire, which I think most still do. As for the picks he gave up, that's what it cost to get it done. Whoever made the deal was going to give up something substantial. Paton did somehow get a first rounder back for Chubb (easily the most impressive move he's made). |
