ARNOLD STRONGMAN CLASSIC 2024
2024 COMPETITORS
Mitchell Hooper Thor Björnsson Martins Licis Oleksii Novikov Tom Stoltman Mateusz Kieliszkowski Evan Singleton Bobby Thompson Maxime Boudreault Tom Evans Oskar ZióÅ‚kowski 2024 EVENTS Friday, March 1 @ 1 p.m. Elephant Bar Deadlift Frame Carry Saturday, March 2 @ Noon Dinnie Stone Carry Apollon Wheels Stone Medley Should see three, maybe 4 pull over 1k on the deadlift. Thor is the favorite with probably Bobby Thompson 2nd and Hooper 3rd. Frame carry has historically been near impossible for most to finish. Last year I think only 3 finished. This has usually been the last event so might see more finish as they will be fresher. Very likely to see a WR set on this by Hooper or Kieliszkowski. Dinnies will probably be Hooper and Evans as 1 and 2. Apollon Wheels - 180KG axel clean and press AMRAP for 2 minutes. WR is I believe 4. I expect Hooper to hit 5. Thompson, Licis, Stoltman, Evan and Kieliszkowski will all be in the 3-4 rep range. Stone Medley: Kieliszkowski has this in the bag. Good chance he is the only one to finish. For the last leg it is the tombstone to shoulder AMRAP and Kieliszkowski is the only one to ever do more than two. His record is 5. Does Thor still have the power after losing so much weight for his boxing foray? I don't know how easily or quickly the strength goes and comes back with guys like that.

Do they still have the Worlds Strongest Man competition where they pull trucks or lift refrigerators? Magnús Ver Magnússon was legend back in the day.

Yep, its a full on serious competition now. They don't do the really whacky shit anymore but they do have fun with the design of the implements. Example is the Yoke Carry has a car shell around it so it looks like they are Fred Flinststoning it down the course.
