First song - "Stay" by Lisa Loeb. My babysitter liked it, and I liked her. And it is a good song.
First purchased music - cassette of Hootie and the Blowfish, Cracked Rear View. |

The Partridge Family-Come on Get Happy.
Years later I was at a small intimate gig with Tommy Stimpson from the Replacements and he did a cover of that song and the place went wild. |

The first song I remember thinking "this is my favorite song!" was 'Don't Look Back' by Boston.
Was probably 6-8 years old. First album I bought? Hell I don't know - some BMG record ripoff thing where I got 8 CDs. I'm pretty sure Gin Blossoms was one of them. I played the hell out of the Blues Traveler CD as well. I think I had Fatboy Slim in there, the Zoot Suit Riot guy (Brian Selzter orchestra?), maybe GooGoo dolls? Some of that mid 90s era stuff all starts to run together. |

Oooof. Good question. Probably Metallica's Enter Sandman.
Discovering my dad's Motley Crue "Dr. Feelgood" cassette was my first time really picking a favorite artist though. By age 9-10 i had probably collected all of their cassettes. |
