I love Brugler but I don't like any of these picks, really. Or at least not the top 3.
I don't like Leatherwood's fit and don't see the Chiefs taking him in front of Cosmi or Radunz. I think Robinson is, as Taylor suggests, a "luxury" pick at 63, especially compared to the names on the board there. Perkins, Tremble, and Rodgers are all much more valuable to KC and more needed. I don't get the Nico Collins thing. Brugler keeps mocking it. The guy could be a successful NFL receiver, but his main knock is that he doesn't separate well over the middle of the field. Um. That's... kind of important to Andy Reid. I don't see that, either. The rest of it looks fine. To me, if I'm running that mock and the board falls the same way, I take: 1. Either Cosmi or Radunz (or Little or even Spencer Brown if that's their guy, paired with a trade-down if necessary) 2. Amari Rodgers (NFL bloodlines, separates like a MOFO, works the middle well, built like a RB and good after the catch) 3. Patrick Jones (he fell all the way to round 4 in Brugler's mock, but I don't believe he will in real life. Needs to develop but could spend this year doing that and also get pass down reps and add some juice to the rush) Rest of it looks good. Throw in a CB that fits the Chiefs' scheme instead of Jones in the 4th, and call it a day. Brown Rodgers Jones ?Rochell? Menet Yeboah Johnson Sherwood And I'm... good. |

I know it takes a partner and a little luck, but I'd really, REALLY rather trade back to around 40-45 and pick up a third.
This draft's value area seems to be in that 2nd and 3rd round, and there are many prospects that seem like good system fits for KC in those rounds. I don't like Leatherwood over any of the second or third tier tackles to be honest. And he doesn't seem like a Reid OL at all. |

I like it, but people have caught on to Pat Jones II and ESPN had him going in the 2nd round this week.

What you do is slip into the Jacksonville room and trade 45 and 65 for 31. Then you run over to Miami and traded 65 and 94 for 50. Now you have 45, 50, and 63 in the 2nd. Bingo. |

You could truly shape a team for the foreseeable future with that.

Are these in order? Because some of these guys are going higher than you have them.
