2023 Schedule Speculation
This is all speculation and nothing more.
Assuming the Chiefs win Sunday, we would get the first game of the new season. If the pattern holds as it has been, the first game would Thursday September 7. The Royals are at home against the White Sox. Who would most likely be our first game? 2023 Home opponents-Broncos, Raiders, Chargers, Bills, Bengals, Dolphins, Bears, Lions, Eagles-and one of these will be in Germany (Bears or Lions?) I don't see it being an NFC team or a division opponent. That leaves 3 choices-Bills, Bengals or Dolphins. My choice is Bengals. |

I'm going to say the Dolphins - there would be a good storyline with Tyreek's return to Arrowhead and see him watch the Chiefs raise the banner.
Bengals-Chiefs probably would not be wasted in the very first game of the season - NFL would want to hype that up a bit more like they had done for Bills-Chiefs this year and even Chiefs-Patriots a few years back.... |

Chiefs-Bengals will probably be a mid to late October game either at 3:30 on CBS or a NBC SNF game depending on which network gets the first pick in selecting games.

Probably the Fish. Reek comes back to get clobbered, and shut down by McDuffie!
Edit: I love the thought of Reek having to watch the banner get hung. Enjoy the payday, the championships are gone! |

I would think that Thursday night would be hard with a Royals game at 1:00. Too much overlap traffic with Royals fans leaving and Chiefs fans coming. Chiefs would probably have to play on Sunday night. Royals are at Toronto
