Broncos release All-Pro safety Justin Simmons

What a day! This MFer has been the biggest pain in Mahomes’ ass his whole career. Like 5 interceptions. Denver is going to S-U-C-K. Sean getting ready to strip it down to the studs and do a full rebuild. Worst trade and contract ever to blame. Cheers! |

Uh, wut? Wasn't he All Pro this year? They seriously couldn't find a trade partner for essentially a 1 year 14 million S?

Would go a good way to payback for Neil Smith, never equal to it, but would be a good gut punch to the Broncos that I'd be willing to explore should Jones leave and we keep Sneed under extension or tag. Sad it's not a position of need but Reid, Simmons, Sneed and McDuffie.... woof. That's the best case post-Chris Jones era scenario imo.

I feel like the plethora of available safeties in FA should lower the cost for safeties. I know it's already been discussed, but I feel like a short extension at a team friendly amount for Justin Reid would be beneficial for all parties. Maybe something like a 2 yr/$24 million extension and bring down his cap number this year by $5 million or so. That would keep him in KC through his age 29 season at which point he can hit FA one last time before 30, seems to be a win-win for all sides.

I love that the Broncos have literally nothing going for them. Nothing

They got that Baron Butthole dude Knowmo keeps telling us is an elite pass rusher. Oh and Jaleel White had a bunch of garbage time yards that one game. Uhhh… Josey Jewell could maybe be our 4th best LB? |

They're 1-0 against Mahomes in their last meeting.
