Who's fault is this TD score?
I'm not good at distinguishing coverages, but it'd make sense that Thornhill would be helping with McLaurin over the top. Did Ben Nieman blow this coverage? Also 15 was wide the **** open, so it looks like Mike Hughes, I'm assuming he was responsible for 15, was bailed out by his teammates ****ing up. How the **** do we allow 2 guys running wide open when we had 4 guys rushing the QB and 7 dropped into coverage and they only had 3 guys running real routes. Did that fake ass screen route really trick them that bad? Seems like guys didn't have a ****ing clue what they were responsible for and that falls on Spegs. |

Yes, the screen route tricked them that bad. Did you even watch the game? The announcers went over it and why it happened.

Haynes and Nieman both bit on the WR screen. Guessing it was scouted formation/motion/D&D to run the screen.

Comes down to the trust. When you dont trust one teammate to do their job, you take false steps in second guessing, rather than sticking 100% to your job.

“The Chiefs defense makes every offense they play look like the 2018 Chiefs”
Is that really his comment on a game where the Chiefs held their opponent to 13 points (0 in the second half)? He didn’t say “most”, he said “every”. I don’t remember the 2018 Chiefs scoring below 26. |

This has happened more than once.
I conclude that it may be a flaw in our defensive rules that opponents have found and then exploited. FAX |

Spags. Neimen Marcus isn't covering anyone 40 yards downfield. Occasionally you can get caught in the wrong coverage, but we are consistently having blown coverages. My suspicion is that these disguised coverages work a whole lot better with a killer pass rush but we don't have a pass rush to speak of at the moment. You have to compensate.
