Yeah but refs can't fix games because they can't

Chiefs have had their share of dirty shitty refs during big games.

I think there's a BIG difference between one guy, or maybe even a handful of guys, that are on the take, or whatever, and some kind of league-led conspiracy to steer outcomes.
The former involves a few people who are making self-centered decisions for stupid reasons. The latter involves lots of people who are making decisions that would largely benefit others (the teams involved) and puts the entire league at risk. |

Exactly why I posted that I didn't want this to turn into a conspiracy themed thread. The interview I posted is IMO riveting and he tells a lot, even talks about getting his knee cracked by a member of the Gambino crime family while in prison.

There is a strong reason why the professional sports leagues spend a lot of money to watch who is gambling or betting on sports. Once an addictive gambler gets in deep, there is usually just one group that will be their lender of last resort: the mob.
In return they must cross the line to relive their debt. It's why Pete Rose was banned from baseball. I was shocked that the Raiders were allowed to be located in Vegas. I am going to guess that within 2-3 years at least one Raider will get in serious trouble gambling and drinking in a casino or one Raider will be under investigation for excessive gambling. |

Always thought that this subject would make an amazing 30 for 30, but the pussies at ESPN would never risk pissing off the NBA.

Calls out what I've seen for years. Guys like Brady get different calls. The Patriots also play by different rules on defense. Games are steered a certain way to achieve a result. The only question is WHO is influencing them.

I don't see how a person can watch what has happened with "WTF" calls and think it's all legit.
One ref, one call/no call at the right time. That's all it takes to nudge a game. Hell, the officials tried to hand the Chiefs games this season. |
