Kelce Confirms What Most Of Us Already Believed…
On his podcast today, Travis confirmed that Andy Reid is calling the plays and not Eric Bieniemy. This might be a bit of a PR snafu for the team. Especially if the rumors about EB getting serious consideration for a head coaching job are true. Kelce’s brother tried to smooth it over in the moment, but Travis doubled down. Surprised they didn’t squash that in the edit. The clip below starts at almost 12 minutes into the show. The first 12 are worth watching if you have the time.

Honestly I think only sports talk commentators believe EB is calling plays. Just about everyone else knows it is and always will be Big Red.

Seems that way. At least with fans. Wonder what other teams think. Kelce’s brother seemed a bit surprised. Or maybe he was just surprised that Travis said it out loud.

He said “to my knowledge it’s Andy Reid”.

This is also Travis wanting to lightheartedly to let the cat out of the bag. They dont love EB like Reid...or even Matt Nagy. They seem to tolerate and sometimes like EB, at the most.

In my opinion, it depends on the game and the situation.

The week prior to the game the coaches with Andy Reid make a game plan with plays on what they want to do. Andy has said that all of the coaches and even sometimes players have input on this plan.

If you watch the sideline with Eric Bieniemy and Andy Reid, Eric is always active with the game calls. Andy sometimes just listens in and can change the play if he wants to. There are some games where Andy is much more involved with the actual plays that are being called. When that is happening, Andy has his game plan card and is talking into the mic on almost every offensive play.

Andy Reid wants to allow Eric Bieniemy the opportunity to develop as an offensive coordinator which includes calling plays.

BUT the person that would really know on this is Patrick Mahomes. He is the person that would hear it all.
