I have read all of the books featuring this character. It is a good mix of western/crime drama with some indian history and mysticism. It has some truly great characters in the series that will stick with you.
The author Craig Johnson does a great job with development and dialogue. I would highly recommend the books. I hope the show is good. http://www.craigallenjohnson.com/ Ang |

Bringing this back up, the premiere is Sunday night on A&E, and early word is that it's good.

I watched and really liked it...but I am kind of a sucker for crusty, stoic main characters.
Lou Diamond Phillips was very good in it as well. Thought they needed to give the female deputy something to do. At least there didn't seem to be the romantic tension that often has to exist between the two leads. The tension between the Rez police and local police was pretty much spot on. All in all - a pleasant waste of an hour of my life. |

It wasn't a bad pilot. I like the people involved, so I'll keep watching, at least for now.

Damn it. I'm hooked. The Finale is upon us.
Not spectacular, but I'm enjoying it. It did a good enough job of building tension through the race and love story. I'm liking it (Like I need another series on my DVR). |

and Katee Sackhoff is a bit of a butterface, but she has a rockin body. Cassidy Freeman is epic hot.
