Had to put my dog down today

Hardest decision I've ever had to make.
Had him for 14 years.
Took him to the vet to see about a hematoma on his ear, turned out to be cancer.

Been there, done that. Having not lost a parent yet, it was the worst day of my life.

My condolences. But 14 years is a good run for a dog. Appreciate the time you had with him.

We chose not to have children so he was our baby. 6 months after getting married I brought home so she wasn't alone. Today we sat with him thru the morphine and then the end.
