Who Is Randy?

Ok ... I know everybody is. Probably all day, every day ...

However, in this particular case, I'm talking about the "Randy" Wally called out during his post-game presser yesterday. Wally said he was "glad to see" this Randy person and made a joke about this unidentified Randy's haircut or his recent shave or something. So my question is, who in the hell is Randy?

I should also like to make a couple of observations regarding sideline behavior yesterday that I haven't seen mentioned. (Although, I must admit that I haven't read every post in the gameday thread.)

First off, it appeared to me that Mahomes was pissed off at the conclusion of the 2nd quarter. I'm assuming he was angry because of a problem with the personnel grouping or the 2-minute drill preparation, but I don't actually know. Mahomes was chirping at the coaching staff as he came off the field (after the timeout to kick the FG) and continued to bark all the way down the sideline until Kelce seemed to talk him down a bit.

Anybody notice that? Any theories regarding the cause of his anxiety? (I know Mahomes would have loved another shot to the endzone before the half because the boys were getting in rhythm at that time.) It was probably not a late playcall because the 2-minute drill series is pre-ordained, so I'm guessing he was pissed about the inability of the guys to hurry to the ball and line up properly. Just a guess ...

Second off (and this is actually related to the first off thing), it seemed to me that Mahomes presented a very different demeanor than the one to which I've grown accustomed.

Throughout the day, he was scowling on the sideline and looking ... well ... generally unhappy. Concerned, maybe. I'm used to seeing him smile and chat with his guys and/or hype them up. I'm not used to his Aaron Rogers impersonation. That makes me wonder if he was more nervous than usual (first home game, facing the Dirty Birds, unhappy with the week's preparation, etc.) or is this his new game face? Has he evolved as a more serious leader or did his headband shrink in the dryer?

Just wondering what you guys think about all these non-football-related observations.

PS: Sorry if re-post.

I'm assuming that "Randy" is Randy Reid the persona the Eric Stonestreet did as a spoof, pretending to be Andy's little brother.. Pretty funny video if you hadn't seen it

Mahomes was definitely pissed about the way the 2nd quarter ended. You could tell he wanted to go for the kill with another chance for a TD and didn't like settling for the FG.

He did seem subdued on the sideline in the 2nd half. Maybe he was disappointed in the conservative play calling?

Love to see the fire and passion, He knows that 3's wont cut it come January. We had their D gassed and were pushing for another TD. Score as much as you can as fast as you can.

I remember hearing on the telecast that Mahomes Mom had told Patrick he need more of angry demeaner.. Or something like that... Don't mind him having a little edge to him.. He's the leader.. Sometimes leaders need to chew some ass....

I dunno, he was on camera fired up after DRob got that TD. I think he was pissed about the way that half ended. Tons of time burned off and then the timeout called, leaving pretty much time for a FG. But with 10 seconds, I bet he felt he had a shot at the EZ at least once before kicking the FG. I think it was bad clock management and he was pissed.

Randys that I have known:

Randy - my best friend in third grade. Good football mind for a third grader.

Randy - a rough looking kid in my freshman high school who was a nice guy and he had a killer arm when playing bombardment in gym. I saw in my local newspaper that he was arrested for making meth last year.

Randy - Actually, Randall. A very nice mentally reeruned kid in my high school. For some reason he was always in my gym class, and bombardment was not a good experience for him. See above.

Randy - my locker partner in my senior year of high school. Randy must have been a popular name for kids my age.

Randy - the good friend of my cousin growing up, so I often heard about him, but my cousin had a pronounced Ozarkian accent so it was pronounced Eraiiindy.

Randy - A guy I flipped steaks with at a steak restaurant in high school and college. One of the first people I ever knew who traveled internationally.

Randy - Actually, Randall. A physics TA who did me right my freshman year of college. I tip my soda glass to you, Randall.

Randy - A recent client of mine. Confidential. Can't say more.

Fax, he was doing what needed to be done. Guys on the ol were blowing their blocking assignments and mecole blew at least 1 route assignment. Big D. Williams (as opposed to medium d williams who was hurt) blew at least one pass pro. It's his job to hold guys accountable and with a defense like the ravens our season can end with one missed block. Smile at the super bowl parade. Football is movement and violence, most of it in the first three seconds of any given play. Mahomes knows this and he respects that aspect of it as much as the playbook and reading coverages. Our young guys need to learn.
