The whole game was just lackluster, even though it wasn't.

The game was almost ‘boring’ to watch. Looked too easy. It’s like the Chiefs and Mahomes were just toying with them.

Think they finally broke through and went SSJ.

Seriously, it was week one. He’s interested in AFC Title games.

He’s playing for the next AFC Title. Texans week one = pocket change.

Highlights from the game:

We could've easily put 60 on these guys. Reid and Mahomes had a big bowl of vanilla with a bit of sprinkles.

It was a preseason level gameplan honestly. The most basic play calling I’ve seen from Reid in a Chiefs opener. And the game still wasn’t even close to being close. Just wait until Andy is going balls the wall in December and Jan

You can tell he isn't thinking at all anymore. He's just reacting to what he reads.

Almost every dude he hit tonight appeared to wide open because Mahomes knows exactly where to go with the ball, and when.

That knee injury last year is going to pay off in the long run. It forced him to play from the pocket more for a brief moment in time, and now it's second nature.

I definitely miss his style of play from 2018 where he was sprinting around the yard doing ridiculous shit.

But this style of play is (while more "boring") much more effective.

To be honest, he reminded me of Brady tonight. taking what the defense gave him and hitting checkdowns, screens and slants for 8-10 yards a pop.

If he can combine this style of intelligent quarterbacking, with the incredible playmaking ability that we know he has, there's no doubt he'll go down as the greatest to ever play this game.

That throw to Kelce for the TD is a pretty good example of how far he's come.

That was a very tight window that needed a basically perfect throw to not be contested in some way, and he and Kelce executed that like no one else was on the field. The Texans looked like a bunch of tackling dummies.

How about that ball placement on the non-TD to DRop?
