“Kansas City” by Taylor Sheridan featuring Sly Stallone coming to Paramount +
https://www.townandcountrymag.com/le...sas-city-show/
In case you were worried that Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan wouldn't have enough to keep him busy, you can relax. In addition to the mega-hit ranching drama, the newly-launched Jeremy Renner-fronted Mayor of Kingstown, the Yellowstone prequel series 1883 which is set to debut this month, and a still in-the-works Yellowstone spin-off set on the 6666 ranch, Sheridan has yet another show in the pipeline, and this one has a very unexpected star. According to Deadline, Sylvester Stallone is currently in talks to play the lead in (as well as executive produce) a new Paramount+ series titled Kansas City. Stallone, who is perhaps best known for his Academy Award-winning 1977 film Rocky as well as a string of fan-favorite action movies, would play a modern-day Italian mobster from New York City who is forced to relocate to Kansas City, Missouri to reestablish the mob's presence in the city. Along with Sheridan, the show is reportedly being developed by Terence Winter, known for his work on HBO hits The Sopranos and Boardwalk Empire, who will serve as showrunner. David C. Glasser, CEO of 101 Studios, which also produces Sheridan's other series, told Deadline, “Taylor is a prolific creator because of the multi-dimensional characters he creates and the complex worlds he builds. To be able to have the legendary, transcendent Sylvester playing one of these characters is truly a privilege. And on top of that, we have Terence producing the project with us, who is responsible for some of the most captivating, deeply respected television shows in history. We are thrilled that ViacomCBS has partnered with us to help tell this story.” Though no timeline has been announced for when we might see more of Kansas City, considering that the upcoming 1883 started filming a scant three months before its December 19 premiere, anything is possible. Sorry if this is a repost. I’m very excited about the potential of this. |

I’m not convinced Taylor Sheridan has slept in the last five years.

That is actually a different show. Hulu’s Kansas City is some show about a distopian future. This show hasn’t been filmed yet. It could be filmed in Georgia as well, but you’re confusing this for another one. As someone who lived in Paradise valley for awhile and travels all around I can tell you Yellowstone looks like it’s city shots were mostly shot in Utah. Doesn’t take away from the mystique of the show, though. I’m sure there will be shots of Kansas City, but it will get budgeted out to the best place to film.
