Any idea what next years 2nd round pick is worth, for the Chiefs? The one obtained for Ford?

So the best they could do to move up in the first is trading with MN unless they trade both 2nds? Is the 18th pick really worth it? Is 18 going to get you a world-beater?

I wouldn't do it. I'd stand my ground and use every pick I have, especially after having so little last year.

So our first this year, one of our seconds this year, and one of our seconds next year will get us up to around 13-17 depending on who we can take advantage of.

So theoretically, pick #19 would cost 29 and 61?

The way I read it, 18 is the most we could get for our current value of #'s 29 and 61.

Seattle needs more picks so that would be where i'd look to start trading .

How often does a team get the number 1 overall and the Mr. Irrelevant pick in the same draft?

This is the year to stand pat. Deep defensive drafts don't come along that often, We could get 3 starters in the first 2 rounds.

I concur doctor- I think I stay put unless a very talented pass rusher begins to slip in the realm of the Chief's possibility. Other option I would consider is trading the additional 2nd round pick in next year's draft.

If a guy like Ferrell slides.....I'd be looking in the 21-23 range to jump ahead of the Raiders.

Yep. Having those (2) 2's is far more enticing to me than moving up to get a player that though he may be great, would not be generational.

Chiefs cant afford to move up with PM, Hill and Jones coming due. They need cheap labor.

NFL.com just did a 2016 "re-draft"...Jones went #6 and Hill #10. Cost KC a 2nd and a 5th.

I dont particularly like Veach's aggressive style...seems a bit undisciplined. Speaks cost KC 2 draft picks. Dorsey moved down and still got Jones..
