When did fans start wearing NFL jerseys out in public. There was all sorts of gear, but as I think of it, I don't recall seeing many fans wearing Jim Brown jerseys to the games maybe until the late 70's?

My earliest recollection was Joe Namath #12 jerseys after the Jet won in 1969.
