I saw Young Frankenstein in the theater and laughed so hard I almost slid out of my chair. 1975 I believe. It was a first and only date with a girl I had been friends with for years. The romance didn't take off, but I still count that date as a successful one.
I think that was the first Mel Brooks movie I had seen, but I made sure to see the rest of the them. Mel and Gene Wilder are as great a tandem as Andy and Pat. |

I love Mel. I saw Blazing Saddles in the theater with my parents. I was 14. Afterwards, my dad said, "Well, I guess you're an adult now..."
