Trade up options

Credit to Pest in the lounge.

Would you give up next years 1 and 29 to get up high enough to take Johnson?

If there is a player KC really wants...Eagles could be a play. 29 + 2023 1st. Philly would still have 2 picks in the first/10 overall...then have the 2023 ammo to move up if Hurts doesn't progress.

It makes sense for them...and Chiefs would retain their mid-round picks.

In a perfect world, Atlanta or possibly Seattle move up to 30...KC gets more picks to manipulate rounds 2-3.

The most awesome scenario...is KC via Seahawks use Denver's pick to land an all-pro.

Hopefully that's what Veach is thinking when he talked about letting the board talk to him. I would love to find a way to get back into the 5th round using some of those 7ths too.

I tend to agree...

unless it was for Kayvon Thibodeaux

but then why wouldn't Carolina just take Thibodeaux themselves

I think for Carolina, it really depends on how they feel about Brady Christensen at LT and Yetur Gross-Matos at DE. If they are comfortable with their development, then I could see them wanting to get more draft capital to still take a stab at QB but improve overall if Pickett or Willis isn't sitting there for them. Matt Corral at 29 and Travis Jones at 30 would make a lot more sense for them at that point, IMO.
