Why would you kick it now? This is horrible clock management. At least take a 3rd down shot and try to draw a flag. You have to recover an onside kick either way.

Now, maybe if they actually learned something and weren't running Lamar into the ground, yet again, I might feel differently. But no, they haven't. He's still averaging about 10 rushing attempts per game like he always has and is going to be broken down and ineffective in the postseason like he always is. Hell, wasn't Lamar whinging about it before the season opener?

If the Texans had kicked it at 1:30, they’d have been able to get the ball back with approximately 40 seconds left (2 timeouts) even without a successful onside kick.
