No advice, unfortunately, but I will say I've had nothing but bad luck with Samsung stuff over the years - a TV, a monitor and two bluray players that all shit out soon after their warranties expired. I'll never again buy one of their products.

Not going to help answer your problem, but do you have DIRECTV stream? If so, get a used Osprey box off eBay. Comes with the remote basically like the satellite one where you can directly tune your channels.
Samsung’s OS and apps all suck too, btw. |

I don’t trust smart TVs. Have you considered a streaming box? I am big into the Apple ecosystem, and have converted many friends and family to Apple TV.
