It was just a pure fluke based on game flow and how the Chargers were playing us. He'll be back to normal next week.

If he is punishing Kelce, why not use the time as a way of giving Harris his time to shine?
Whether Kelce was punished or not certainly is an interesting thing to ponder. I do think there are weeks where Andy specifically draws up plays to highlight certain likely matchups. All coaches do. It really felt as if KC did no planning of this game. Aside from a few plays, most of the calls were lousy and uninspiring. Calls tend to look better if winning in the trenches though.. and there was very little of that to be seen yesterday. That, and getting the early lead yet again led to the frustrating coasting-mode. |

They should have quit using West. The offense played like shit except KHunt.
I don't believe any second that Reid was punishing Kelce. I think he likes his heart in the game. |

I don't think Reid was punishing Kelce, I think they just had him covered all day. I'll agree with SNR that benching, even for 1 series is the way to punish a player. You don't take away one of your stars from the game plan.

Not only Kelce, but what about Harris. Did not see him get any looks.

I've been re-watching. So far its a combination of crappy o-line protection and Kelce not being open.

I called it early in the game in the chat room.
Reid absolutely was punishing Kelce but was keeping him on the field as a decoy and blocker. |

I don't think Reid would punish Kelce by not putting him in the game plan. I would have to look at the All 22 but I know he was in blocking quite a bit because the OL was sucking ass.
