Reid tried to pull his best Titans impersonation from last season...the only problem was Rivers almost threw 5 INTs..and Peter's dropped a pick six. It was a one score game until the last 2 minutes...

Andy did everything he could to lose this game...the Chargers just suck too much and Hunt is a rock star. Kelce getting one target is very strange....has that ever happened before?

You don't punish your star player by never looking his way. That's absolutely idiotic.

Think about it. Reid's not throwing the ball. Alex is. If you wanted to punish Kelce by giving him a crap stat line, you'd have to tell Alex to do that. You'd have to say, "Alex, never throw him the ball." Puts your team leader and the guy players go to for player concerns in an awkward position.

You want to punish a player? You bench him. You don't involve your QB in the punishment. You don't jeopardize the team's chances of winning to send a message when the message isn't very clear and known to the offending player in the first place.

That sounds like Todd Haley shit. A ****ing nutcase who would hold grudges and burn the entire house down just to send the message "Go **** yourself."

Andy's not that kind of coach. And thank ****ing God for that.

I disagree. Have you seen how frustrated Reid's been with Kelce and more importantly, the media?

His press conference last week was borderline embarrassing, not only for Soren Petro but for Reid himself.

The transcript doesn't do justice to Reid's anger in the video.

Not much rattles Reid but he's clearly and unequivocally pissed at Kelce.

And he should be.

Nice of Marcus Peters to pick up the slack today.

Good ****ing god.

Peters should have been flagged last week too. Peters might not get a second contract in KC..If another corner comes along in the draft, they should take him. Peters is going to want a lot of money and I wouldn't give that much to headcase like that

Oh come on, give me a break.

The Chiefs aren't letting Peters walk because he's a fiery player.

That's downright stupid.

It's not stupid at all when you consider the money he is going to want. Corners can go downhill fast and you can get a good corner to replace him in the draft

Really? Name the last "good corner" that's been nearly as good as Peters in the last 3 drafts.

What elite corner has gone down hill at 26 years old(his age when his contract expires)?

Then Reid should bench Kelce for a period of time. One series, one quarter, one half, one game, whatever. However long it takes. THAT sends a message way more than passive aggressively finding ways in the offensive playcalling to deliberately NOT give him the ball.

And by leaving him on the field to rot, Reid is also taking away the ability for the offense to play to its full potential. It would be far better to bench Kelce, get the media to notice it and talk about it (an enormous embarrassment for Kelce) and keep the offense at a semi-normal pace by letting Harris get those snaps.
