Honest I'm good with Berry sitting out two more weeks, I think the Chiefs can handle the 49ers and Broncos without him. Everyone is anxious for him to practice and play right away but there is no sense in rushing him back.

I apologise if this has already been answered. I'm curious, if this is a tendonitis type issue with inflammation in the tendon/heel area, what's the solution to fixing that long term? I know the answer right now is rest and rehab, but what's stopping this from being a yearly occurrence with Berry likely missing significant time every year? Anyone knowledgeable at all about this kind of injury?

In all seriousness, the long-term cure for tendonitis is to stop doing whatever is aggravating the tendons. |

He hasn't practiced in well over a month. Even if he starts practicing, how long will it take him before he's realistically ready to play? Couple weeks, atleast?
He won't be back until atleast the Jags, if not the Pats. That's week 6. I'm a little fuzzy on it, but you could have put him on the IR or PUP to start the season and kept that spot ope. |

Exactly. Who cares? They obviously thought he had a chance to come back sooner. Who knows, maybe they are being a little more cautious/patient after the 2-0 start. A healthy Berry for the stretch run will go a long way.
