SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS

***MNF Week 1: New York Jets @ San Francisco 49ers***

Because I am oddly very excited for this one.

Can Rodgers make it through the game, much less look good?

Are the 49ers going to have another massive Super Bowl hangover?

Discuss over the water cooler.

To me, he just seems like another overpromoted coordinator who has no business running an entire team. As we've seen countless times, not everybody who is a successful OC or DC is cut out to be a head coach. As Clint Eastwood once famously said, a man's got to know his limitations.

As for the game, it started out great, then.... blech.

Major reality check for Jets fanbase and media people. They've been hyping that team the last 2 years. And it turns out they ain't very good, even with a healthy Rodgers.

I think they could be a playoff team if Rodgers stays healthy (unlikely) but they aren’t winning that division with Josh Allen in it.

WC exit at best

Geno Smith is probably a top 15 QB in the league right now. You taking Geno over this version of Rodgers? After those throws he made?

It’s laughable to suggest he can’t play anymore based on what we just saw.

Rodgers was fine. Not good enough to win on this day given his defense and offensive players around him also failing but he wasn’t a major factor in the loss. They definitely put way too much faith in that revamped line being able to bully the 49ers dline.

I think Rogers and the jets will be fine if they just focus and block out the noise. That san Francisco defense is real, so is the offense. They are the best team in the NFC. It's going to take time before everything clicks on the jets. I bet they make a wild card if the old bag of hot air stays upright. They should be able to protect him.
