*****The Louis Rees-Zammit Thread*****

[Doing a rare **player thread** for a non-drafted player so we can have a centralized repository for all things LRZ aka 'Rees Lightning'. Here's a link to the original LRZ signing thread by RunKC.]

Highlights

Podcast where he talks about the signing (and mentions he can run a 4.2 forty; he'll be a KR at first, then slot/HB when he learns the plays.)

LRZ meeting the crew and getting a Mahomes/Stroupe workout in

Pederson is smart to give him a year on the PS
Sounds like Pederson is giving him a spot on the active roster. I bet the Chiefs offered him a PS spot.

yeah, no way he earned a spot on our roster. Needed another year of trading and experience.

I'm surprised they have a slot to burn like that.

Oh wow, ok thats not what I thought

Seems like if LRZ was savvy and self aware, he'd recognize that he needs at least ONE good year on a practice squad/intensive offseason program to develop pro fundamentals... instead he's getting ahead of his ski's and jumps ship from the Master to his apprentice

We'll see how it works out, Cotton... but his long term chances just took a huge hit

Eh, if the Jags are actually putting him on their active roster, that's a salary difference of like $750k for the year. Hard to blame a guy for taking that.

Can't really argue with that 750k, if LRZ wanted a long term NFL career he should've punted here IMO... but as Steve Miller once sang, take the money and run
