What cuts should the Chiefs take a look at?

At WR, Brown Who the Texans cut would be an upgrade for sure over sky Moore.

A number of possibilities to upgrade our RB room, Boston Scott, who was a good third down back when with Philadelphia would probably be the best. others include Breida who is the 49ers cut and Frank Gorge Junior from Buffalo.

I think any of these would be worth looking at, and we could definitely make room by getting rid of sky Moore.

With the McCarthy injury, there's just nothing for them to get terribly excited about this season. They're pretty much drawing dead. Worse still, they have nothing but a 1st and a couple 5th next season (though they'll get a comp pick for Cousins).

Things ain't looking great in Minnesota.
Cine has literally never played, he was a bad pick from day 1.

The Commanders cut KJ Henry that would be a good add to the DE room.

Ultimately I just see a real possibility that Hull is active and contributes on gamedays whereas someone like Hanson is going to be an obvious gameday inactive.

And I don't think Hanson is special. He's a late round IOL - guys like him exist on every practice squad in the league, they get drafted every year. He's...fine. But he's fungible.

So if I could get someone with a 50/50 shot to contribute this year at the (potential) cost of losing a fungible IOL like Hanson, I'm on board...

Honestly, I'm not sure that Henry brings anything that Herring doesn't.

He's just not explosive enough.

The 40 is excellent but it's a loping 40 - he's more fast than quick. Little undersized for a 4-3 DE. If he's the guy I'm thinking of (out of Clemson, right) I thought he fell farther than he should in the draft but ultimately I understood it. There's nothing that flashes.

Herring is a better complement to someone like Danna (and potentially Thomas) than Henry would be, IMO. And both guys are gonna be placeholders at best so I probably wouldn't bother.

The two that jumped out at me were...

RB Frank Gore Jr
"136 yards on 33 touches and 1 TD in Pre Season"
*Could be a nice 4th back for us!

NT Siaki Ika
"As a pass rusher (in college), he produced 33 total pressures, which included 24 QB hurries, 3 QB hits and an impressive 6 sacks on the season"
*Wouldn't mind kicking the tires on a 2023 3rd rounder with Pass Rush ability inside

They should be looking at any DT's with ability but they seem fine with their Jones + jags approach.

Now that's a good call right there. Missed him.

With Jones ability to kick outside, I'd be pretty content letting Herring walk and bringing Ika in as a rotational NT who brings a little more pass rush juice to 1st and 2nd downs.

So at this point I'd try for:

Sign Hull, cut Hanson
Sign Davis, cut Nic Jones or Christian Roland-Wallace (probably Nic Jones)
Sign Ika, cut Herring

They are one of a handful of teams that still use a true NT. So the market is usually pretty easy for them to operate in and so they're unwilling to put many resources at the position.

That said, this is nothing but a phonecall and moving on from the JAGgiest of JAGs in Malik Herring. Who will almost certainly make it to the PS.

I wonder how many (if any) of these guys will clear waivers though. I think Davis has enough time to avoid the wire but Hull and Ika are likely to get claimed.

Nnadi remains one of the most fortunate humans alive. Was he even the best FSU traffic cone on the roster this fall?

Mike Danna is an underrated interior rusher who is always a challenge for IOL.
