You aren't selling that many wings to Dave's Dive Bar down the street.

The people investigating are far more interested in the organization behind all of this and who bought the stolen goods which, if you didn't know, is also wildly illegal. Restaurants can't just buy food from random people off the street. So the prosecutor dumped other charges on top to try and get her to give up the more important people but she refused to budge. That's why she got charged with being the head of a criminal enterprise. I'm sure that charge would go away if she said who was actually in charge, but without anyone else then I guess she must be the kingpin behind it.
I am guessing multiple food trucks and mom and pop restaurants.

There are way too many questions, and the guy in that video in the OP looks like a douche who wants you to SMAAAAASH that like button and be sure to subscribe for more!

There's got to be more to this story, but the fact that they tried and convicted a 64 year old black woman for this tells me it was more than just some mistake on her part. I don't know what Chris Jones is paying for, but it's not to get her out of jail. It must be to pay back the school for their loss.

What a goofy story...

No, he literally is attempting to pay it off to get her out of jail. It's stupid & of course it doesn't work that way otherwise people would just start robbing banks & when they get caught just give the money back & walk away.

Here is the answer to most everyone's questions about what the money could do:

It could be too late for Jones to supply a cure. Liddell has already pleaded guilty, and she has received a sentence of nine years in prison.

Per the report, her attorneys have 30 days from her August 9 sentencing to file a motion to vacate her guilty plea and request a payment of restitution instead.

OK, that at least makes sense. I don't know why he's so moved to help out someone who is guilty of grand theft, but whatever, it's his money.

It seems excessive to send. 70 year old to prison for 9 years. Basically a death sentence.

$1.5 million is a lot of money though.

The sports talk show I was listening to said she also had a gambling problem. DA said the sentence wouldn't allow her to receive money or pay back any if she had the funds to do so.

Maybe she needs to sign up for Dartgod Gambling Challenge.
