" I prefer the bear "

I'm not a hip guy, and I don't keep up with stuff on the internet very often outside of www.chiefsplanet.com

Can someone explain this "I prefer the bear" stuff I've come across online?

My wife and granddaughter and I were in Grand lake CO a couple years ago and a bear walked out of the bushes about 10 feet from us. My wife started to run and as I was telling her just back away slowly, a guy walks up and tells us oh don’t worry that bear is harmless.
I asked him so are you a biologist, “ no”, a Park Ranger, “no”, so just a bear expert then, “ no I’m not even from hear just a tourist”.
Clearly the man was the most dangerous in that situation.

Pitch your tent next to a bear's den and see what happens.

Better yet try and pet cubs in front of Sow and see what happens.

Percentage of bear attack deaths would be interesting between Papa bear and Mama bear.

Papa bear will eat the cubs before acknowledging a human near by.
