Has way more to do with Omenihu tearing his ACL, but I know you guys have to have a young player to bitch about.

Love Spags and love that our front office gets the coaches players they like but this can also result in over paying certain guys.

Bro you're dumb, Mike Danna is a good player.

Sure he is.

But not a player you pay 8 million a year to while paying Omenihu over 10 million AFTER using 2 1st round picks on defensive ends.

We spent all these draft picks on defense to get younger and cheaper now we need to fix the offense.

All that dude cares about are WRs. If the Chiefs make a good move, it still isn't good until they have 3 WR1s.

Who cares man, the end result is that we have great depth at DE

FAU may well become a starting force, but the coaches clearly want some insurance... dude has definitely flashed nicely, but he clearly hasn't stolen the coaches love just yet

Let him and Danna push one another

I don't think its acceptable to have a mediocre offense with the greatest QB talent to ever step on a football field in his prime.

Fair enough but I think that you can get my point. This was a decent deal for a proven solid performer. The binary nature of all player assessment blows my mind when discussing contracts like these.

Just over four million a year guaranteed for Danna's production is a heck of a deal, no matter how you cut it. IMO, he's earned that deal and then some.

No shit. I will take every player we had on defense back if I could. They shut down the league. They were as good as any defense in the last 15 years.

Spotrac had him projected to earn $16.7 million per. This is a great deal.

Terrible comp.

Hitchens was mediocre at best and was out of the NFL the next season.

The Chiefs value Danna’s inside/outside versatility that Omenihu would’ve provided if he were available. Chiefs can’t count on that next season so they need to retain a guy who is an all-star favorite in the locker room who helps set the floor.

We lose a guy like Sneed to keep Danna and a couple other to compensate. That’s just roster building in a different way. You’re the clown who criticized this approach last year because it kept the WR closet as a low floor lotto ticket and yet they won their second consecutive SB with those WRs dipping beneath the floor.

Maybe appreciate there’s another way to approach this.

If you got hit by Rashee Rice’s car tomorrow and died, this post - which should be your sig - is what I would implore your next of kin to have on your grave. As we’ve all read this over and over and over and over again.

You don’t need to keep being a caricature of your one dimensional self.

Heard Danna had a 4 percent missed tackle rate. That’s supposed to be pretty good. Many of his teammates say he’s the most underrated and hard working part of our D. This is a good start in using the money we gained from dealing Snead.
