Does that really change anything? KU would pay him as long as he wants to stay. If he wants to leave, he can still leave.

Thank you for saving me the time of having to find the post. Personally, I do not like this move and basically equate it to KU sticking its "middle finger" to the NCAA. If Self is totally exonerated I would have no problems with it but in skimming through the NCAA's rebuttal to KU response to the Notice of Allegation (where the NCAA basically equated Self to an organized crime boss IMO) I don't see that happening.
