Gotta admit though, the banter between Stammets and Reno was pretty great when they weren't talking about romantic bs.

Without a doubt, season 2 was light years better than Season 1.

Just go pirate the thing. They should pay you to watch season 1 if you're willing to do it. |

So I completely missed the CBS/Viacom re-merger yesterday, meaning for the first time in almost 15 years (re: the end of Enterprise) all the Star Trek properties are again under one roof.
Could be interesting moving forward... |

There is some stupid rule that any new Star Trek stuff has to deviate from the original by a certain amount. Apparently(?) that's why the newer movies did an alternative timeline. You know what would be a great way to get around that rule? Just make Discovery about Pike's Enterprise instead. Use the gay black doctor and the grumpy lesbian. It'd be great. |

I just had an odd random thought. The Discovery went forward in time at the end of the last episode. Suppose they do one of those internet mini episodes showing the crew trying to make it back, involving the spore drive. It works but they collide with themselves and **** up the whole timeline. Pike's Enterprise takes the place of the original series in that universe. And that's what we get to watch starting in season three.
