Kylo didn't really want to beat her in TFA... man. Saying "YOU NEED A TEACHER" and trying to win her over to his side doesn't exactly scream as if he was going 100%.

You can't cop out Vader losing to Luke but be angry about the lack of logic behind Kylo losing to Rey. In both cases, the loser was likely held back by their own mental strife (not to mention Kylo getting literally shot with a blaster and hit with a lightsaber in the previous five minutes).

WHY DID THIS FRAIL OLD MAN COMMAND SO MUCH POWER OVER THE SCARIEST ANTAGONIST (likely ever)
HOW DID THE EMPEROR CORRUPT VADER'S MIND AND CREATE MENTAL STRIFE BETWEEN HIM AND LUKE?

How and why?

C'mon dude, it's okay to not like a movie. But you can't argue as if this movie contained any more leaps of logic or unanswered questions than literally any other SW film.

Not important to the story. Why isn't that obvious?

We'll learn the answers to those questions via other media. But it has nothing to do with this story going forward.

It should be obvious to everyone now that Snoke and the little tidbits we were given about him were only important in serving the character of Kylo Ren.

He exists to tell the audience why Ben Solo turned and how the First Order came to be.

Agreed. I really love the idea that rey comes from nothing. Not only is she strong in the force, she is a decent person. That is a powerful positive message that shouldn't be tossed aside just to appease some whiney ass fans.

Prequels were made to show his backstory. Maul? . Dooku? . Grievous? GTFO. Kylo is the big bad of this trilogy, and he's getting the most backstory by far in the trilogy he's featured in.

This is a talented young filmmaker who has already shown an incredible ability to play in a huge, established sandbox and give us something fresh, new and incredibly entertaining.

PLENTY of fans love what Rian did.

Prequels weren’t called shitty when they came out. They were classified as shitty as time went on and I think that will happen with this film.

There was a slight adjustment period with TPM but people ****ing HATED Attack of the Clones as soon as it came out. They couldn't believe how hamfisted the romance was and how horrible Hayden was.

She is basically bad ass with a lightsaber. Its not like she is fighting with a bunch of force power. And she established skill with a staff, trained from hard life experience, early on.

People hated ATC and ROTS when it came out.

TPM had the 7 stages of grief for a'lot of fans.

I remember getting in to a fight with one of my cousins trying to reason with him why TPM is better than all 3 of the star wars movies.

Reality began to settle in after a few days.
