*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

The Chiefs are going to have a dynamic, explosive offense with Alex Smith throwing to a group of WR who have amassed 2,643 career receiving yards! Chemistry will be key!

Jets have the worst receiving corps. Albert Wilson has more receiving yards than any receiver on the Jets

When did Alex Smith play 3 quarters in the third preseason game?

alex could play zero snaps in the preseason and be more effective than any qb we have with preseason snaps to start the season.

it's obvious some want alex to play TOO MANY snaps in the preseason to get Romo'ed. Why rush things, obviously the chiefs brass aren't in a hurry.

win the ****ing super bowl with alex and buffalo gets pick number 4 and 32 instead of picks 4 and 5.

at worst alex gets (throws up in mouth a little) another year to prove it wasn't a fluke. midway next season it's mahomes show. we are splitting hairs on a game total of 7 games in 2018.

Most he's ever played is one drive in the 3rd quarter.

I agree that Mahomes should get the majority of reps in the preseason.

Really good 2 minute piece on Mahomes on ESPN this morning.

Readers Digest version:

The hype is real. When Chiefs decide to unveil him, lookout. Throws he made in college they said he couldn't do in the pros... he is doing. There are just some things certain people can do that other people could never do, ever, and Mahomes is one of those guys.

And they came to this conclusion after watching him practice against 3rd and 4th stringers?

C'mon, milkman. Sure, they aren't Marcus Peters or Derrick Johnson, but he also isn't throwing to Travis Kelce or being protected by Mitch Schwartz.

They did not say. It was just a two minute segment with no video. Sounded as if it was about the coaches discusions.
