James "The Virginian" Drury RIP
The good guy in a black hat known only as The Virginian Shiloh Ranch Foreman passed yesterday at age 85. Only Gunsmoke and Bonanza had longer TV series western runs. One of my favorite shows as a youngun and catch it often on Grit TV when I can. As a kid I had no Idea this serries was 90 minutes but a great show if you love westerns.

As minor Rain Man trivia, my mother went into labor with me while watching an episode of The Virginian.

Lonesome Dove was great but I couldn't remember if it was before of after Silverado.
