Iconic movie scenes....

....we all have our favorites, one of mine...

That got me searching out a book on Doc Holliday, what an interesting guy he was.

The ending to Taxi Driver where De Nero shoots Harvey Keitel and then a few other scumbags to save 12 year old Jodi Foster.

The ending to Manhunter, where William Peterson jumps through the window and the killer starts shooting everyone as Ina Gada Divi da is playing.

The car chase in the French Connection as Gene Hackman is chasing the subway under the elevated train in NYC.

To Live and Die in LA, William Peterson in the car chase, especially when they are going backwards on the LA Freeway.

Yesterday my dad tossed my nephew a 16” crescent and he whined about it. I told him if you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball. Everyone laughed. 16 years ago and the little ****er was 4 when it came out. That’s a pretty timeless joke if my 20 year old nephew and 65 year old dad laugh at the same joke.

Chisum is another one with a bunch of good scenes:

The best part of this one is the soundtrack during what can be graciously described as 'excessive force'. That's a damn cheerful mass homicide right there.

Hey Duke - your boys are shootin' em in the back while they ride away. That's murder brah.

It may not surprise you to know that I heard the phrase "Son, since you haven't learned to respect your elders, it's time you learn to respect your betters..." a handful of times as a youth.

We breed 'em willful in my family, I suppose...
