Time to jack up this defense in a challenging offseason.

1. The Chiefs lose Super Bowl LIV to the Philadelphia Eagles. GM Brett Veach and HC Andy Reid are retained.

2. The Chiefs extend WR Tyreek Hill for $18m/year.

3. After the season, the Chiefs extend/re-sign QB Patrick Mahomes 7 years, $245m, RB LeSean McCoy 1 year, $5, OG Andrew Wylie 2 years, $8m, S Jordan Lucas 3 years, $9m.

4. The Chiefs cut: OLB Dorian O'Daniel, CB Tremon Smith, S Daniel Sorensen, P Dustin Colquitt

5. The Chiefs trade: WR Sammie Watkins for a 2nd round pick, DT Chris Jones for a 1st and a 3rd round pick, DE Breeland Speaks for a 5th round pick.

6. The Chiefs re-sign to minimal deals: QB Chad Henne, WR Marcus Kemp, DT Xavier Williams, OLB Darren Lee

7. The Chiefs tender: WR Gehrig Dieter, TE Blake Bell, OG Ryan Hunter

8. The Chiefs let walk: QB Matt Moore, FB Anthony Sherman, WR De'Anthony Thomas, TE Deon Yelder, OG Jeff Allen, DT Joey Ivie, DE Emmanuel Ogbah, MLB Reggie Ragland, CB Bashaud Breeland, CB Kendall Fuller, CB Morris Claiborne

9. The Chiefs sign: OLB Wesley Woodyard (Titans) 1 year, $4m; CB Chris Harris (Broncos) for 2 years, $23m.

10. The Chiefs are selecting 31st. They receive no compensatory picks. The pick they landed for CB Mark Fields was a 7th.

I think I'd just kick Lucas free and hit the UDFA pool hard for his replacement.

Will need a monster season from Watkins to get a 2nd round pick back in a trade and Speaks isn't even worth a 5th anymore.
