A lot. Hitchens is out, Jones may or may not play, either inside or out. So now it boils down to our 2 young LBs, a suspect DL, and Dirty Dan playing. We have to be able to not give them the 3rd and shorts and make them throw the ball.

But I don't think it matters if the offense takes care of businesss and doesn't give the ball away. That doesn't mean bombs away football for 4 quarters. Get up early, pound the rock, 5-6 minute drives, and keep our D on the bench.

I think Henry will get his, only because he has something like 29 touches a game. I even think he'll have a long run at some point, and a couple TDs to go with it.

I think that ultimately it won't matter if we don't turn the ball over and can get 3-4 stops on D. The Tits don't have the defensive guns to keep us from getting 30+ points, and if we continue to put up long drives (like we've done pretty much all season thus far), the Tits can't hang.

Imagine that: for years, everyone has been saying that the way to beat the Chiefs is ball control, and now we're the team that ball controls the others. If we can hang onto the ball, we're pretty unstoppable....

We lost that game because Andy couldnt grasp the idea that 3rd n 2 with just over a minute left, a first down wins the game.

Just get 2 yards.

Patrick was around 400 yards passing at this point, being relatively immobile first game back from injury.

Did he call 2 blast plays for 2 yards? No.

Did he spread the titans out and let tbe best qb on the planet find the open guy? No.

He called a one read tight end screen. To Blake. Bell. If it was to Kelce MAYBE you could make a case that its a play for the best TE in the league.

No.Blake Bell is who Andy called upon to win the game. Titans are all over it, Pat tries to scramble, loses 6 yards but stays in boundaries to force the last titans timeout.

Spags came out fapping to his dumbass prevent defense and Tannehill leads the Titans to a score in about 40 seconds or so.

Its like Reid doesnt have any information as to what has transpired in the game. Hes calling plays like its the first play of the first drive in the first quarter.

Its ****ing maddening.

That's kind of my point. It doesn't matter how many yards you put up, it's the number of points you score and how many you limit your opponent to. I have no problem putting up 30+, but we can't allow the Titans to the 29+ our D seems to think is OK and not be a little worried. Get up 10-14 early and make them beat you through the air. Don't give away points by foolish turnovers. Play Martyball on occasion.

Going to have to disagree. We have 8 INTs vs. 6 fumbles and a couple of those fumbles were by receivers not securing the ball. https://www.foxsports.com/nfl/kansas...gory=turnovers

I probably didn't state that very well at all.

I think Martyball absolutely gets them in trouble when it comes to letting up and not keeping their foot on the gas. It's one of those things you don't care about when they're still winning (like last season when they were barely beating shit teams), but suddenly matters when they waste drives and end up losing. Let Mahomes do his thing and win games... shit will happen (and sometimes a lot of shit). I just don't think you can keep Mahomes in the pocket and have him hand off every 1st down and call it good.

It's obviously not the problem that's plagued them... that would be turnovers. I don't think that's fixed by Martyball (whether you're saying that or not), however, because most of the turnovers have been either fluky in nature (off the hands of receivers, off the arm of a defensive lineman, the CEH fumble on the 2nd and short against the Ravens) and not exactly 'forcing' anything or airing it out (the exceptions being Mahomes' pick against the Ravens, the one against the Eagles, and whatever the **** that was against WFT... where he was forcing plays).

In the past, teams didn't want Mahomes on the field. This season, it seems the Chiefs offense has controlled time of possession. Meaning the other team's offense isn't on the field as much. Maybe that's just perception. I expect the Titans to pound the ball and run play action. They can beat our defense anyway they want. We can't cover Jones or Brown. We can't cover anyone's tight end. We can't cover anyone's running back.

I'm not advocating total Martyball, just run it more and keep the our D off the field. Force them to bring 8 in the box. Force them to abandon Cover 2. While I'm not saying don't throw a 50 yard bomb when it's there, just don't disregard an 8 yard up and out for a 1st to eat clock. I'm also not advocating taking the foot off the gas. If we're up by 17 in the 4th, keep scoring. Like you said, shit happens and it's happened too many times to us. A 40-burger to the other team's 24 works for me and I don't care if Henry has 3 TDs and 200 yards. That's for fantasy boys to drool about.
