The truth about our losses

After a little research and going back to last season, including the Super Bowl we have 5 losses when Mahomes plays (obviously not counting week 17 Chargers game). Almost all of the games we have lost in that time frame have one major thing in common. Here’s the data...

Chiefs/Faders - Clete Blakeman
Chiefs/Bucs - Carl Cheffers
Chiefs/Ravens - Clete Blakeman
Chiefs/Bills - Carl Cheffers
Chiefs/Chargers - Sean Hocculi

We are losing the games reffed by those horrible officials.

Hit send accidentally too early but finished what my point was.

Every one of those games came down to bad officiating that screwed us to the point of losing.

Luckily we have drawn Brad Allen. He seems to be pretty fair, but his thing is he throws a LOT of DPI.

In the Mahomes era? Not many if any. I know Blakeman was the ref during the Chiefs/Pats “55 offsides” AFCCG.

Just hope they don’t pop back up in the playoffs reffing a game for us. It never ends well for us when those 2 are involved.

The Buffalo game did not come down to bad officiating. They made a terrible call against Frank Clark right after they called a phantom holding against Mitch Morse. The Chiefs were already down 11 by that point. They played like dogshit in that game on both sides of the ball.

To me, this doesn't necessarily scream "biased refs," but it does make me wonder about the slight differences in how refs call games. In other words, if we're a team that likes to get a little grabby on defense (which we have been historically), refs who call games more tightly will naturally be a problem for us.

It sucks that there is that kind of variability in how games are called, but I don't expect it to get any better.

Last year we had the most penalties Blakeman had given out (16), and most yards by 60+ more (168)

Last year we had 10 more penalties than the next team by Cheffers, and almost 100 more yards (299)than the next team (211).

Yep, I did this research as well a few weeks back before the Ravens game and it's pretty astonishing that majority of our losses are from the same crews.
